From IET London: Savoy Place to Bayt Qatar in just 10 days

We'd like to thank our client, the Qatar Olympic Committee, for choosing IET London: Savoy Place as their official Olympic House for Qatar. The planned 10-day transformation to the iconic venue to capture the culture, heritage and sporting achievements was outstanding - reflected in these images.

Qatar used all three of the venue’s event floors, taking advantage of the ornate features and panoramic riverside views of London. Using themes including women in sport, the use of technology and innovation in enhancing athletic performance and the successful 2022 World Cup bid, the team converted the reception area, tiered lecture theatre and all meeting rooms. All themes and aspects of the transformation promoted the country’s aspirations to achieve a knowledge based economy over the next 10 years.

The venue’s flagship Riverside Room was the focal point for Qatar as the country used this space for its celebrations.
