Planning a summer party for 2021?

With a brighter, sunnier future ahead, we want to ensure the first time your colleagues can all get together face-to-face is a success.

A summer party will give everyone something to look forward to, and it lets staff know how much you appreciate their resilience with the past year behind us.

If the current spring sunshine is tempting you to start thinking about planning your summer party – we’ve put together some of our top tips to keep in mind when writing your to-do list.

Location is key

Where are you going to play host? Ideally, you’ll need somewhere with great transport links so that your guests have different travel options – whether that be by car, train, tube or boat!

It’s also worthwhile to choose a central location with a good amount of accommodation options for your guests. We’re sure they’ll be grateful for somewhere close by to rest their heads after a day of summer drinks in the sunshine.

Choosing a location with exceptional views and surroundings can also provide the perfect backdrop for your partygoers to socialise.

Did we mention our al fresco Johnson Roof Terrace at Savoy Place has a grandstand view of London’s iconic skyline?

Have top-class catering

Whatever the theme and vibe of your summer party, at Savoy Place, we cater for all kinds of events, formal to casual. From sit-down, silver service dinners, to buffets and cocktail parties, impress your guests with the help of our in-house catering experts.

Put together by our specialist in-house catering team, there’s a choice between two delicious summer party menus; from burgers to tacos and salads, our menus have been created with the perfect summer’s day in mind.

However, if you need a fork buffet, bowl food, or even a host of food stalls, the team can also work with you to design and serve a bespoke menu to compliment your event and specific theme.

Bring the entertainment factor

Our dancefloor can be set up and ready to go, plus there’s the opportunity to hire a DJ and photobooth, so your partygoers are already guaranteed to dance the night away. But what about other activities to keep your guests entertained?

From live music acts providing a chilled summer soundtrack to cocktail mixology lessons and classic garden games like giant Jenga, chess and croquet, over the years at Savoy Place we’ve seen a variety of creative and memorable activities so would be happy to make recommendations and help plan your perfect 2021 summer party.
