This room was named after Gertrude Entwisle, a pioneering electrical engineer and the first woman student admitted to the Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE, now the IET) in 1916. Throughout her career, she championed opportunities for women in engineering and helped pave the way for future generations of STEM professionals.
