Space transportation
Space transportation or spaceflight is ballistic flight into or through outer space. Spaceflight can occur with spacecraft with or without humans on board.
Examples of human spaceflight include the Russian Soyuz program, the US Space Shuttle program, as well as the ongoing International Space Station.
Examples of unmanned spaceflight include space probes that leave Earth orbit such as the New Horizons spacecraft, that recently passed by Pluto, as well as satellites in orbit around the Earth, such as communications satellites.
Thunderbird 3 model
This Thunderbird 3 model is one of the well-known vehicles from the children's television series Thunderbirds. It belonged to the fictional organisation International Rescue and was a single stage to orbit (SSTO) s= pace vehicle designed for space rescue and maintaining the crew of Thunderbird 5.
Like all Thunderbird machines, it was designed by Brains. Its main pilot was Alan Tracy, with his brother Scott usually acting as co-pilot. Whilst space transportation for ordinary individuals was believed to be a thing of science fiction, the reality is coming much closer with the likes of the Virgin Galactic project which calls itself the worlds first commercial spaceline.
