Weaponry
Weaponry is the collective noun for weapons which are devices used in order to inflict damage or harm to living beings, structures or systems.
Weapons can be used to increase the efficacy and efficiency of activities such as hunting, crime, law enforcement, self-defence and warfare. More broadly weapons may be construed to include anything used to gain a strategic, material or mental advantage over an adversary.
Julius Robert Oppenheimer (1904-1967) was an American theoretical physicist and professor of physics at the University of California, Berkeley.
As the wartime head of the Los Alamos Laboratory, he is among those who are often called the father of the atomic bomb for their role in the Manhattan Project, the WWII project that developed the first nuclear weapons.
