How long have you worked at Savoy Place?
Nearly four years.
What does your role involve?
I oversee the Diary and rates for the upcoming events, support my team and make sure we are all on the right track. I provide help and support for the team where needed. I also assist in setting up the rates for the upcoming year, ensure capacity charts are correct and oversee communications between departments.
Favourite part about the job?
The location. The views at Savoy Place are an amazing way to welcome guests.
Also, we have a really stable Sales Team which helps us have a lot of repeat clients. I enjoy being able to build relationships with them and getting to know their taste and expectations for their events. I also enjoy the variety within my role.
Favourite room at Savoy Place?
The Kelvin Lecture Theatre. The technology in there is very interesting, the AV is built-in and there is so much that the clients can do with it. We are also fortunate enough to have had some big names present in the Kelvin Lecture Theatre.
Favourite event?
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Roadshow in 2017. It was an exciting STEM-based exhibition!
Why work at Savoy Place?
It has allowed me to build skills and knowledge by working with a variety of internal staff and external clients.
What did you do before?
I am originally from Milan and moved to the UK in 2010. I completed a Media and Communications degree at the University of Greenwich. During university, I moved to Australia for 3 months to carry out a work placement at an Australian national radio station for the Italian community.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy hiking, travelling and reading. I also enjoy going to concerts, indie rock and reggae music in particular.
