All our event spaces come with 48 to 98-inch screens with built-in HDMI and VGA connections, video conferencing and integrated audio and PA systems.

Our event spaces range from independent spaces to interlinking rooms on the ground floor, to our largest floored event space, the Riverside Room, which can be used as one space or partitioned into different areas to suit your occasion. Plus, our rooms can all be set up in a variety of styles depending on your event needs. Our rooms also range from characterful spaces to blank canvases to suit any event.

An expert in-house AV team

Our in-house AV team are all specialists in their own fields and know the venue like the back of their hands, which ensures that all the audio-visual aspects of an event run as smoothly as possible.

Our in-house AV team also includes a Digital Content Executive, who is available to help with video and image content production for events.

In-house broadcasting production company

We’re in a unique position to be able to offer unique services of IET.tv, the IET’s in-house video and webcasting team with their own independent broadcasting channel, offering both live and post-event uploads to the highest standards.

The experienced team know every angle and hidden trick to ensure the lighting, sound and delivery of video is of unbeaten quality.

Savoy Place is conveniently located in central London, on the bank on the River Thames. It’s easily accessible from all major transport links including train, tube, Santander Cycles and event riverboat!

A unique space in the city centre, the Johnson Roof Terrace boasts breath-taking views of London, from St Paul's Cathedral to Westminster. Ideal for parties and receptions when booked alongside the Riverside Room, our roof terrace is bound to impress your guests and offer amazing photo opportunities.

Dedicated operations team

Our operations team are always on hand to ensure your event runs smoothly and often get a special mention from clients for going above-and-beyond. The operations team will be familiar with your agenda, be there to welcome you when you arrive and offer support throughout the day in case of any last-minute requests. 

Home of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET)

Being the home of the Institution of Engineering and Technology means you can rely on us when we say we’ve got exceptional event technology! Also, visitors to the building can visit our inspirational engineering exhibits around the building, including a display on the first-floor lobby that showcases 100 engineering ideas that have changed the world and a gallery of engineers in each of our main stairwells.

Two state-of-the-art lecture theatres

Both of our lecture-theatres are state-of-the-art with full production lighting and surround sound. The Kelvin Lecture theatre even has a 7.5m ultra-wide infinity screen and banner system either side of the screen. We can also video link both lecture theatres for an overall capacity of 626.  

Free, fast wi-fi

We know Wi-Fi is important for any event, and there's nothing more frustrating than a slow connection. That’s why we offer guests 50MB Wi-Fi – for free! There’s also the option for a personalised SSID (choosing your own network name and password) which can be included on your collateral to make the event look even more professional.

Experienced and dedicated event coordinator

Our Event Coordinators will be with you for every step of your event, from the very start of the initial enquiry to the day of the event. Having the same point of contact throughout your event means you’ve got someone on hand who knows your event goals and can give you the advice you need to plan the perfect event at Savoy Place.

We appreciate that some event planners want cohesion over every aspect of their event, including ensuring that the food matches the theme of the event. Whether it’s a red-carpet fine dining dinner, to an 80s themed party, our chefs can work with you to create bespoke catering options.

4 rooms with access to outside space

There’s no denying that all of our event spaces offer beautiful views over London, however, a few of our rooms also have access to outside space, such as balconies. Delegates will be sure to stay alert all day with fresh air circulation the room and can take the occasional break to soak up the sun and the views.  

Over 100 screens for digital branding

In the building, we have over 100 digital screens, from the impressive 4k video wall in the foyer to individual screens outside of meeting rooms. These screens are available for digital branding, to promote a company’s logo, agenda or even seating plan. Plus, it can often be cheaper, quicker, more sustainable, and flexible to edit than printed materials.

Historic yet contemporary building

Did you know that Savoy Place was built in the late 19th century, and the area of the Savoy Manor dates all the way back to 1246! We’ve managed to retain some of the history from the past, like the beautiful white Greek Pentelikon marble in the foyer from 1909 and the character of the IET’s old library in the Maxwell Library, while turning the building into a stunning space for events.
